Cork Public Museum worked with Patrick, Lorraine and all the team at Darac in 2020 when they were awarded contracts to produce several cases for us for upcoming exhibitions in our Decade of Centenaries programme. From the very beginning of our collaboration, I got the immediate impression that we were in good hands. Patrick and Lorraine were attentive and kept me in the loop throughout the whole process. DARAC have over the past number of years supplied our Centre with state-of-the-art museum standard exhibition cases and storyboards allowing us to lift the standard of our exhibition space from that of an amateur offering to that of a professional display. Darac have worked with us for over a decade and throughout our close working relationship have worked on several permanent and temporary exhibitions. We recently had the pleasure of working with Patrick and Lorraine at DARAC Museum Storage and Display on the design and fabrication of a bespoke double display case for a very special exhibit: Linda Kearns’ dress/brat and medal collection. The National Maritime Museum of Ireland had the pleasure of dealing with Darac for two projects over the last 12 months. From our initial enquiry through to taking delivery of the finished product, their professionalism, attention to detail and friendliness was exemplary. The supply of a museum grade, bespoke display case to house one of our most prized exhibits would have been a challenge at the best of times but to deliver on our complex requirements during a world-wide pandemic with all of the resultant supply chain issues and staff shortages and within a time deadline, was more than impressive. The Sligo Folk Park recently had the pleasure of working with Lorraine and Patrick from Darac. The folk park purchased three museum quality cases and from the initial phone call to the delivery of the cases I found them to be very professional, and easy to work with. They answered calls and emails in a timely fashion, answered every question with both expertise and patience, and overall made the experience easy and hassle free.
