Majestic Setting
A few hours “up the road” from us, in County Donegal, we discovered Glenveagh Castle in the midst of the Glenveagh National Park. It was a beautiful March day with the sun beaming out over Lough Beagh as we arrived to deliver a set of museum showcases destined for a new exhibition space within the castle.

We had been asked to design a set of 4 museum showcases for Glenveagh Castle to accommodate a collection of various items from the Castle archives.
The pieces were to be quite small and needed to be viewed from all angles, with simple, effective, and unobtrusive lighting incorporated into each case.
The cases were also to be versatile enough that they could be used for future exhibitions, and moved in the room as necessary to create differing experiences.
Our Open Base table top cases were the perfect fit for these requirements, granting access for visitors of all abilities, whilst being simple to relocate for staff members.

We had a very pleasant time visiting the castle, and were made so welcome by the staff and volunteers. There is such a sense of legacy within the castle, with some staff members growing up in the grounds and welcoming visitors to what is essentially their home.
Thank you to Glenveagh Castle Staff for sending through images of the cases in situ and in use!
