We work from our converted Railway Station in Newbliss, Co. Monaghan, Republic of Ireland.
Yes, we work with businesses on both sides of the border, and can invoice in both Euro and Sterling.
For some products we do deal with members of the public, however we do not offer advice on conservation or storage beyond providing a list of products that we supply. If you want advice on how to correctly conserve or repair your own artefacts and/or paperwork you can find a list of conservators in Ireland on https://www.icriconservation.ie/ . Once you know the materials you need, feel free to come back to us and we can then supply you with the necessary items.
Yes, we do have a showroom, with examples of our Museum display case designs, conservation supplies and archival storage on display. Due to the nature of our work, we are not always available. To avoid wasted journeys, we are open by appointment only. Please contact us to arrange a visit. We may also be able to direct you to a museum or venue local to you where our cases have been installed.
Once you have an account set up, you can order directly through our online shop (Hyperlink to shop) for our standard products. If you require museum show cases, conservation framing, or bespoke sized boxes, please email us directly on post@darac.ie – please include your name, organisation that you work for, a brief description of what you need, and include a telephone number.
We accept direct bank payments, credit/debit cards, and PO Numbers. We can set up accounts for our regular customers, and invoices can be sent to billing departments as necessary.
Yes, we accept PO Numbers from approved organisations as payment for orders. This will be subject to account set up, and PO Numbers must be supplied along with order confirmation.
This function is available on request to account holders through our shop. You can pick the items you need and then automatically generate a quote. If you require a quotation for a bespoke item, such as archival boxes or museum display cases, please email us at post@darac.ie
Yes, we deliver to both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The majority of our orders are sent via local courier. Smaller parcels may be sent tracked with An Post or Royal Mail (Northern Ireland). In general, we deliver and install museum showcases ourselves with our own transport. Delivery charges will be at cost, and agreed prior to dispatch. Unfortunately, at present, we do not operate outside of the Island of Ireland.
We are regularly asked to source bespoke and specialised items for our clients. This service takes a lot of time and may incur a charge if there is no order placed.
We work Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. Feel free to email us outside of these hours, and we will respond once we are back in the office.
Yes! As a family, we have owned Newbliss Railway Station since it closed. You can find out more here
We are Ireland’s only specialist Conservation Picture Framers with museum training. The only company in Ireland making genuine Museum grade Archival Storage Boxes and the only Irish company designing and making Museum Standard Display Cases.
