Conservation Framing to Museum Standard

Over the past thirty years of framing, both in London and here in Ireland, we have framed an eclectic mix of items, from an original Monet to a pair of Y Fronts, and for a truly varied selection of customers such as, Ford, Inland Revenue, British Gas, Paramount Pictures, BT, RTE, MOD, Parker Pen, Dublin & Shannon Airport, No.10 Downing St., Museums, Hotels, Councils, Churches, Schools, Banks, Credit Unions, Clubs, Photographers, Artists and numerous private clients including  TV & movie personalities.

The diversity of our clients and the work framed, together with years of continuous development has contributed to our in-depth knowledge of framing solutions for all mediums places us at Darac in a position to advise on all aspects of framing and related products.

First and foremost the construction and assembly of all our framing work, unless specifically agreed, is fully reversible so that the original condition of the artwork remains unchanged.

At Darac we pride ourselves on working to “Museum Standards”. This means we use the best available materials and techniques throughout our museum quality framing.

As Ireland’s only dedicated conservation picture framers with museum technician training, we offer a complete framing service, from full museum and conservation to standard level. With our unrivalled portfolio of frames and mouldings we are able to give experienced, objective and unpretentious advice making recommendations that work within specified budgets.

Incorrect framing practices can have a detrimental effect on artwork, most important is the quality of the materials and methods used, particularly how work is attached, the mount board and the use of a barrier layers to protect the work from potential impurities. Our aim is to create a non-invasive environment.
